Matt is a current Anoka-Hennepin School Board Director representing area 4 and is a lifelong resident of Andover and a graduate of St. Francis High School. He and his wife, Joy, have two children, both of which are Anoka-Hennepin graduates, who attended Andover schools from Kindergarten through 12th grade.

Matt received his BBA in Finance and Business Economics from the University of Notre Dame and his MBA in Finance and Supply Chain Management from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

He has 28 years of leadership and management experience in the public and private sector and began his professional career by serving on active duty as an officer in the United States Army. Matt has also held numerous leadership roles in privately held business and the Fortune 500.
 

He has been active in the community for many years, including serving as the Community Board Chair at the Emma B. Howe YMCA in Coon Rapids, coaching youth football and serving as the Cubmaster of Pack 414 in Andover. Matt also taught Confirmation and religious education at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Oak Grove.
